WHY SEREN
The Seren approach: what makes us different
Anti-wrinkle injections are one of the most performed aesthetic procedures in the UK , and one of the most poorly performed. The frozen faces, dropped brows, and unnatural expressions many patients fear are almost always the result of excessive product, incorrect placement, or a practitioner who has not properly assessed the patient's anatomy. At Seren, Dr Sarah brings a GP's clinical rigour to every consultation and treatment.
45 minute consultations, always
Most aesthetic clinics offer ten minutes before treatment. Dr Sarah gives every patient 45 minutes — time to take a proper medical history, assess the full facial anatomy, understand your goals, and explain exactly what treatment will and will not achieve.
Conservative, anatomy-led dosing
The dose used at Seren is tailored to your specific muscles, your facial anatomy, and your desired outcome. A conservative first dose can always be reviewed and adjusted — an excessive dose cannot be undone until it wears off.
GP-level clinical assessment
Dr Sarah is Coleshill's first GP-led aesthetic practitioner. Her medical training means she understands the anatomy, identifies contraindications a less qualified practitioner might miss, and manages any complications to a clinical standard.
A follow-up review included
Every patient receives a follow-up review at two weeks — time for Dr Sarah to assess the result, address any concerns, and plan next steps.
THE PROCESS
What to expect: step by step
Consultation (45 minutes)
Your consultation covers your medical history, current medications, previous aesthetic treatments, your skin concerns, and your goals. Dr Sarah will assess your facial anatomy , muscle strength, skin quality, brow position, and symmetry — and recommend an individualised treatment plan, with full pricing before you make any decision.
Treatment (20–30 minutes)
On the day of treatment, the skin is cleansed and injections are placed precisely into the target muscles using a very fine needle. Most patients describe the sensation as a mild scratch or sting. No anaesthetic is required.
Immediately after
You can return to normal activities immediately. There is no downtime. You may experience some minor redness or slight swelling at the injection sites, which typically settles within a few hours. Mild bruising is possible but not common.
Results develop (2–4 weeks)
Results begin to appear within two to four weeks as the muscles gradually relax, with full effect usually visible at two weeks. It is normal for the result to look uneven or asymmetrical in the first week before treatment has fully taken effect on both sides.
Follow-up review (included)
Dr Sarah will review your result at two weeks — an important step many clinics skip. It allows for a clinical assessment of the outcome and, where appropriate, a small touch-up if needed.
Maintenance
Results typically last three to four months. With regular treatment, many patients find that the same dose achieves longer-lasting results over time, as the muscles gradually learn to contract with less intensity.
